Lulu is an acrobat at the Cirque des Reves. Her performances are extremely graceful, having her get many fans. Seeing the circus leader as her idol, she tries her hardest to make him and everyone else in the circus proud.
Lulu also can be very open to the other people at her faction, and loves talking to them, except for the clowns, which always frighten her.
Lulu is a shy, sweet girl when offstage, and she tends to blush a lot and talk very formally to other performers. But despite her shyness, Lulu loves to make new acquaintances and friends, and trusts people quite quickly.
Unfortunately, Lulu puts a lot of trust into people that try to get to know her, and can be clueless around people that are dishonest, and can easily tell much about her that can be used to hurt her later on if she tells a dishonest person about something.
If Lulu does something wrong, such as, say, she broke a china plate, she will cry in panic and moan terribly, becoming over-dramatic about that little plate that could most likely be replaced.
When someone tells Lulu that she's a terrible, rude, or horrid person or acrobat, or if he ends up hurting her in some sort of way, normally Lulu will say sorry a lot and complain that she was so poor that her poor father couldn't do anything for her, and she had to do so much in so little time, and burst into tears right in front of the person who was mean to her. If the person says it in such a cruel way, though, Lulu will stand in shock for a while before getting tears in her eyes and ask him why he would say that before running out of that place to the white tent to cry silently to herself. She will never trust the person again, and will try to avoid him as much as possible, but if she does see the person, she will give a formal greeting and that’s it.
Lulu is also extremely easy to manipulate and gullible. A dishonest person could easily use her. And people could easily say, "Pigs can fly," to Lulu, and she'll believe it until she actually sees a pig not fly, which then she would be a bit disappointed and mad that the person tricked her.
When Lulu meets people she likes, she would chat with them for a long time about the most random things, such as the acts or maybe what fascinates her and if they will go out for a stroll sometime. She will also follow around some people and isn’t afraid to hug them or give them a peck on the cheek, whether it is a boy or a girl.
Lulu is also very obedient to other people and the Circus leaders. If someone tells her what to do, she will do it gladly unless the person yells at her to hurry up with something, which she will get frightened and will obey, although at times it has gotten her in trouble.
When Lulu has a crush on a boy, she will try to avoid him as much as possible, for she fears that if she does encounter him, she will make herself a fool and will scare him off. In reality, she will stutter and blush a lot if she is forced to talk to him, and will attempt to compliment him, although she will be a bit scared that she might mess up with what she’s saying, and will try to excuse herself from the situation.
If Lulu has a love rival, well, she would feel a bit depressed, and wonder if the boy likes the other girl better, causing her to feel as if she was humiliated in front of all her fans, which will make her all gloomy and sad.
If a boy confesses his love to Lulu, she would be shocked and confused for a while before blushing crazily and stuttering much. If he is a boy Lulu likes, she will thank him and kiss him on the cheek before confessing shyly. If Lulu doesn’t like him or thinks him too much of a friend, she will politely decline before turning her face away and trying to stop blushing.
Despite Lulu being the polite type, when someone says that his act is better than another, Lulu will step up and stubbornly reply that all acts are unique in their own way and that he shouldn’t be talking unless he isn’t a worthy performer, which later she will feel bad about and apologize for being rude, but still saying that all acts are unique. She also argues with people if she disagrees with something, although she usually loses the argument in the end.
When a person says something bad about her friends, Lulu will go in an all-rage mode, and will be all “I-will-murder-you”.
If Lulu isn’t practicing acrobatics, you can usually find her near the crepe stands, or visiting small shops at the town where the Circus is temporarily located. Or maybe you can find her in the White Tent, playing her violin or quietly singing a French folk song that her father used to sing to her before he died.


H i s t o r y :
"What a sweet child my love gave me before she had to leave us. I shall name you Lucia van Mordeu, my daughter. Carry thy name with pride."
Lulu was born to a poor family in Paris, France. Her mother died while giving birth to Lulu, leaving her father, Acelet van Mordeu, with the newborn baby, whom he named Lucia van Mordeu, later nicknaming her Lulu.
Acelet, determined to make sure his child would survive a long time, constantly went out on the streets performing magic acts to earn some pennies to feed him and Lulu.
Lulu was constantly sick from harsh winters and summers, and also had to cope with being alone in the little house her own father had built. Despite all the hard times, Lulu smiled through all of it, cooking for her and her father and maintaining the house. At times when she fell severely ill, she would feel as if she would be fading into the blackness, and only holding on to a small sliver of life at major cases, only to get better for the will of not leaving her father alone, since she knew he was only surviving for the sole purpose of Lulu’s life.
Lulu grew up with little education and food, without many friends, no mother, but with her father’s love. When she reached age thirteen, she was very envious of all the rich girls, telling her father that she wished she could have tried on pretty gowns and shoes and to be spoiled like all the other girls she’d seen at times.
"Père, why can't I be like one of those girls? I also wish to were silky gowns and heeled shoes."
"Ah, ma fille, I'm sorry that I cannot ever gift you with such gallant presents. We are poor, you see, and those girls are rich. I'm so sorry."
"...It's fine, père, I shan't ask again."
Days passed, Lulu still jealous of the girls, and Acelet went out much more often to earn money to try at least getting his beloved daughter something special. One day, Acelet was shot in the heart, and died on the streets of Paris. Where his body was taken, Lulu never found out. Lulu didn’t want to live after that, feeling terrible about complaining to her only relative about those silly things, and tried to kill herself, failing terribly.
After her failed attempt, Lulu met Diana Beaumont, a gypsy who was traveling around.
"Why, bonjour, petite fille. What are you doing out here with a knife upon your chest? Girls like you shouldn't be playing with those, ma cherie. Come, I will bring you to the caravan, where I shall let you live as a gypsy. My name is Diane Beaumont, and it is a pleasure to meet you."
Diane took Lulu into the gypsy life, where she learned she was an elf. Lulu also found her favorite hobby: acrobatics. Any type of acrobatics amazed her: trapeze, contortion, aerial, and dance. Lulu was best at aerial and trapeze, and failed at contortion, but she still loved all acrobatics. She also discovered she loved playing classical music on the violin.
Lulu became good friends with Diane, who was practicing to become a magician, and her pet tiger, Cosme. Diane wanted to join the mysterious Cirque des Reves, the circus that only came out at night.
"Lulu, what do you think of us running away to join a circus?"
"What? Un cirque? You must be joking. What will you be? Un pitre? Un acrobate?"
"No, my dear Lulu. I shall be un magicien at a circus. But not just any circus. 'Les Cirque des Reves', that's where I want to be."
"Les Cirque des Reves? Diane, I shall support you, but I'm not sure about this."
Lulu thought that dream was a bit silly, since no one really knew the exact location the circus would be until the night it opened, but she encouraged Diane to practice her magic more so that one day, Diane would be able to join the circus of dreams.
The two gypsies lived a happy life until one day, when a large fire broke out in the main caravan, spreading to the others. Lulu, Diane, and Cosme ran out into the streets, where finally, Diane decided that she would live on her own, so that she wouldn’t cling onto Lulu anymore.
"Diane, where are we going?"
"Lulu, I don't know. But I think what will be best for us...."
"Diane?"
"...What will be best for you, and Cosme and I, is if we go seperate ways. I know...I know you don't want to be seperated since you lost your father, but, this will make life much easier for both of us."
"Diane..."
"I'm sorry, Lulu." She pressed her hand so that it covered both of Lulu's eyes, so that she could do what she planned to do, and also so Lulu would not see her tears. Lulu was also crying. "I am to erase your mind. It won't hurt. I promise. You won't forget your father, either. Only me and Cosme."
"Diane, no..."
"It's for your sake. Oh, Lulu, I'm so sorry.... I'm so, so sorry..."

"Please, Lulu, do good for me and let my dream of joining the circus live on."

After Diane erased 3 years of Lulu's memories, she brought her to the front of the Cirque des Reves, so that Lulu could become an acrobat there.
Lulu only remembers one thing about Diane, and that was that she wanted to join the circus, so she went in, and discovered all the magic and awe in there. Lulu decided to join as a circus acrobat, for the sake of the girl who she doesn’t remember.

One of the only girls that Lulu has met, they immediatley became friends while wandering around in Japan, and even more so when they showed what they would perform. Lulu considers Lynette as a very close friend

She covers her ears with white silk when offstage because when people ask if she is an elf they also ask her if she can tell them if Papa Noel (Santa Clause) had put them on the "Good" list
Because she is from France, she has a slight french accent when she gets excited, or might even talk in french! But she is fluent in English, so people can understand her well.
Has a habit of calling "circus" "cirque", but it's not major.
Lulu's favorite (actually, most used besides "I'm sorry") phrase is "Je vais devenir plus forte" or, "I'll become stronger" in english
Although she is French, she likes wearing her hair up in a Chinese fashion
She absolutely adores large cats
She constantly tries to be threatening, but she always tends to giggle while she says something that sounds threatening to her, when really it's not threatening at all
If she is offered an alcoholic beverage, and she drinks it, she will be drunk immediately. So please. Don't offer her drinks.

She doesn't understand lust when directed at her, so will not be bothered if someone tries to seduce her, since she will just be confused.
She wears different performance costumes everytime a new faction is leading, but still having white on the costume.

Oh, the pink markings on her left eye and leg? It isn't face paint, she was born with them.
Hasn't been in a relationship, and she's thinking that she never will, either.
She is learning to read and write in her own language, as she had NO EDUCATION when she was younger. So she currently reads children's books
Her real name is Lucia van Mordeu, but her father always called her Lulu, and the name stuck.
Instead of a normal "Mwa hahahahaha", Lulu says "Moohahahahaha". Weird, right?
